Signature experience
Digital detox retreat
No notifications. No itinerary on your phone, because your phone stays in a drawer. Just river sound, pine forest, and the kind of quiet that takes two days to actually hear.
The experience
Three days of nothing scheduled
You arrive in the afternoon and your phone is the first thing that's asked of you — not taken, just set aside in a wooden box at check-in. What follows isn't a program so much as an absence of one: long walks with no destination, meals timed to daylight instead of a clock, and evenings around a fire where conversation is the only entertainment on offer.
Most guests spend the first day restless. By the second, something settles. The retreat is hosted at a small stone homestay above the Tirthan river, run by a local family who has been quietly perfecting this kind of stillness for longer than the idea had a name.
What's included
Held, not handled
We keep this experience deliberately unstructured. What we do take care of:
- Stay at a verified local homestay, river-facing
- All meals, cooked fresh by your host family
- Device check-in on arrival, returned on departure
- Guided forest walks, entirely optional
- Transfer from the nearest town
Your host
The Thakur family, Tirthan Valley
